UKMC Student Ambassador learning pathway

Library Ambassador training

Help students discover library resources, study spaces and the support available for learning.

Getting to know UKMC

UK Management College (UKMC) supports students studying higher education courses, including courses delivered with partner institutions. Students may have different courses, campuses and awarding or partner institutions. Always use the official UKMC website and your own course handbook to check the arrangements that apply to you.

Student Ambassadors help people feel included, share reliable information and direct students to the appropriate College team. They do not make academic decisions, investigate complaints or provide specialist professional advice.

Your specialist role

Help students discover library resources, study spaces and the support available for learning.

Good practice means treating students fairly, checking information before sharing it, protecting private information and referring concerns to the right staff. Ask for guidance whenever you are unsure.

Check your understanding

Answer five questions about your role. You need at least four correct answers to complete this activity. You may try again.

1. A student cannot find an academic source. What should you do?
2. What should you do with a suggestion about opening hours?
3. How should you promote library services?
4. A student shares a private learning difficulty. What is appropriate?
5. Which action supports fair access?
